Adventure, Science, & Funny!!

This is a wonderful take on DnD with a hint of science thrown in. I love following this eclectic group of wanderers as they wander around a town that's embedded in some seriously suspicious activity! I can't wait to see what treachery they uncover as they journey on! Love that there are plenty of super nerdy & wonderful marine science (and ocean literature, like 2000 Leagues Under the Sea) references sprinkled throughout - it's really fun to try and find them and guess them all! Love the banter, love the group, love the adventure, and really appreciate the science!!! 5/5 for sure on this DnD podcast y'all!!
Marine biologists get their nerd on - excellent !
☆☆☆☆☆There are many recorded dungeons and dragons adventures available via podcasts, but Dugongs and Seadragons is different. The episodes have quite a bit of 'stealth science education' thrown in, especially as the show gets going. Alternating with the adventure episodes are 'behind the scenes' episodes (Dugongs & Rum Flagons) where you can find out about the players (who are pretty famous marine biologists) and about their science, as well as listen to them nerd out about gaming. The tone of the adventures are light-hearted, but they also take the world seriously - so like "Princess Bride" or "Stardust". Also the episodes are pretty much teen and tweenager-friendly, unlike some podcasts where there is a lot of swearing. Great podcast, lots of fun and you might also pick up some interesting science facts en route.

The (mis)adventures of a group of Marine Biologists playing D&D! These folks enjoy what they are doing, have a lot of fun at the table and sprinkle little bits of knowledge into the game. It's quite fun to listen to an educated group of folks play the game because you can hear subtle differences...
